Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 pound beef round steak, cut into thin strips
- 8 ounces snow peas
Instructions
1
Combine all the ingredients for the marinade in a small bowl and whisk them together until well combined.
2
Heat a significant amount of oil in a large cooking vessel, such as a wok or skillet, over a moderately high heat level.
3
Stir-fry the ginger and garlic in the hot oil for 30 seconds, taking care not to burn them.
4
Add the steak to the wok or skillet and stir-fry it for 2 minutes, ensuring that it is evenly browned on all sides.
5
Add the snow peas to the wok or skillet and stir-fry them for an additional 3 minutes, until they are tender.
6
Pour the marinade mixture into the wok or skillet and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly with a spoon.
7
Reduce the heat to a lower level and let it simmer until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth, stirring occasionally.
8
Serve the dish hot, straight from the wok or skillet.
