Ingredients
- 1 (17.5 ounce) package burrito-size flour tortillas
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
- 6 torn lettuce leaves
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried, minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
Instructions
1
Begin by preparing the assembly of your dish in a large serving container. Arrange an assortment of green onions, diced tomatoes, sliced olives, lettuce, and avocado in a visually appealing manner. Set the salad aside for now.
2
Next, open the can of refried beans and pour their contents into a microwave-safe dish. Add a blend of onion flakes, garlic, salt, cumin, chili powder, and oregano to the beans for enhanced flavor. Stir in some water, cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid, and cook on high for approximately 2 minutes in your microwave.
3
Take one tortilla and spread a thin layer of the cooked refried beans onto half of it. Sprinkle some cheese over the beans, and add any additional toppings you prefer. Spread a layer of sour cream over the other half of the tortilla.
4
Fold the tortilla in half, and then into quarters, before presenting it as a complete dish.
