Ingredients
- 8 ounces cooked pulled pork, chopped
- 1/2 white onion, minced
- 1 (12 ounce) package wonton wrappers
- 2 quarts canola oil
- 1 cup barbeque sauce
Instructions
1
Combine the pulled pork and chopped onion in a bowl, blending them seamlessly.
2
Place a small amount of the pork mixture, approximately 1 teaspoon per wonton, onto the center of each wonton wrapper.
3
Dampen two out of the four sides of each wrapper with water and fold the wrapper over the filling, creating a triangular shape.
4
Press firmly to seal the edges.
5
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) or until the oil is almost smoking hot.
6
Fry wontons in batches, working your way through them, until they turn golden brown, approximately 1 minute.
7
Transfer the cooked wontons to crumpled paper towels and serve immediately with barbeque sauce.
