Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 1/2 pounds ground pork
- 2 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1 cup finely chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia®)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup barbeque sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions
1
Preheat your outdoor grill to a medium heat setting, ensuring it reaches the optimal temperature for grilling. Clean the grill grates thoroughly with a scraper to remove any debris and residue, then spray them with a non-stick cooking spray for easy food release.
2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork, adding in bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, a beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried tarragon leaves, sea salt, and black pepper. Divide the mixture in half and shape each portion into two individual meatloaves, approximately 4 inches in diameter and 6 inches long.
3
In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce and ketchup until they are fully incorporated. Place each meatloaf directly onto the preheated grill grates and spread a layer of barbecue sauce mixture on top, using about 3 tablespoons per loaf. Grill the meatloaves over medium heat until they reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit (73 degrees Celsius), taking around 1 hour to achieve the desired result.
