Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 slice bread, shredded
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 small onion, diced
- 1 stalk green onion, sliced
- 3 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 (15 ounce) package slider-size burger buns
Instructions
1
Combine the ground beef, pork, rolled oats, bread crumbs, beaten egg, finely chopped onion, scallions, soup seasoning blend, fresh basil leaves, soy sauce, grated ginger, and sesame oil in a large bowl. Mix everything together until just combined, taking care not to overmix the ingredients.
2
Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each portion into a small, round patty.
3
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over high heat on your stovetop. Add the patties and cook until they are nicely browned on both sides and no longer pink in the centers, flipping them frequently as needed. This should take around 5 to 7 minutes.
4
While the patties are cooking, toast the slider buns in a toaster until they are lightly browned and fragrant. This should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute per bun.
5
Assemble the sliders by placing a cooked patty on each toasted bun and serving immediately.
