Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon good quality balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey, or to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit, or convert that to 220 degrees Celsius if your oven prefers metric measurements. Next, prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
2
Take a large bowl and mix together the Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated with the dressing. Make sure to distribute the sprouts uniformly throughout the bowl.
3
Place the Brussels sprout mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in an even layer. This will ensure that all the sprouts are exposed to heat and can roast evenly.
4
Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and let it roast until the Brussels sprouts are nicely browned. This should take around 30 minutes, but check on them after 15 minutes to ensure they are cooking at the right pace.
5
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and honey to give it a sweet and tangy flavor. Mix everything together until the sprouts are evenly coated with the glaze.
