Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground sage
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloins
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
Instructions
1
Combine brown sugar, water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir constantly until the mixture thickens, taking about 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3
In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, dried sage, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork tenderloins.
4
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork tenderloins and sear them evenly on both sides, taking about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer the tenderloins to the prepared baking dish and brush them with a balsamic glaze.
5
Bake the tenderloins in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip them over and brush with additional glaze. Continue cooking until the center is slightly pink, which should take about 20 minutes more, or until the pork reaches your desired level of doneness. To check, insert an instant-read thermometer into the center and ensure it reads at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius).
6
Transfer the pork tenderloins to a serving platter and let them rest for 10 minutes. Drizzle a small amount of glaze over the top and carve the tenderloins. Serve the remaining glaze on the side for guests to enjoy.
