- 3 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 270 degrees Fahrenheit (or 132 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric units).

Rinse the corned beef under cold running water to remove approximately half of its excess salt, then carefully remove any visible fat. Place the corned beef in a suitable baking dish and spread a thin layer of brown sugar, about 1/4 inch deep, evenly over the top surface.

Cover the baking dish with a layer of aluminum foil to prevent moisture from escaping during cooking.

Bake the corned beef in the preheated oven for approximately 2 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit (or 65 degrees Celsius).

Remove the corned beef from the oven and discard any excess juices that may have accumulated.
