Baked Chicken Tikka
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 4 tablespoons fat-free plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon tikka masala
  • 2 drops red food coloring
  • salt to taste
  • 2 (5 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cubed
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
1
Combine the finely chopped chilies, fragrant cilantro, creamy yogurt, rich tomato paste, pungent ginger paste, and savory garlic paste in a glass or ceramic bowl. Add the marinated chicken and mix well to coat, then refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
2
Next, preheat your oven to a hot temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
3
Place the marinated chicken on the preheated baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, flipping it halfway through to ensure even cooking. Continue to cook until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, which may take an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
4
Finally, turn on the oven's broiler and cook until the chicken is nicely browned, taking an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
