Baked Buffalo Chicken Fingers
Ingredients
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into finger-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (or 205 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, take a baking sheet and give it a light coating of non-stick spray to prevent the chicken from sticking during cooking.
3
In a separate container, combine 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt. In another container, mix the bread crumbs with an additional 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
4
Now, take the chicken pieces and gently shake them to coat with the flour mixture. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg whites and 1 tablespoon of water until well combined. Place the egg mixture in a shallow dish or bowl for easy access.
5
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, making sure they are fully coated, and then roll them in the bread crumb mixture to coat evenly. Place the seasoned chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
6
Pop the chicken into a preheated oven and bake for approximately 8 minutes. Use tongs to carefully flip the pieces over, then continue baking for an additional 8 minutes or until the chicken juices run clear.
