- 1 French baguette, cut into diagonal 1/2 inch slices
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat the oven to broil at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Heat a small saucepan over medium heat, and melt the butter along with olive oil and minced garlic. Once the mixture is hot and starts to simmer, add a pinch of salt and pepper for flavor. Remove from heat immediately.

Dip each slice of bread into the garlic-infused oil mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated. Prepare a plate with Parmesan cheese and coat one side of each bread slice into the cheese before placing it, cheese-side up, on a baking sheet.

Place the prepared bread slices under the broiler in the preheated oven, on the middle rack, for approximately 8 minutes or until they reach a golden brown color.
