Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Banana Peppers
Ingredients
  • toothpicks
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 10 banana peppers
  • 10 slices peppered bacon, or to taste
Instructions
1
Submerge toothpicks in water for a quarter of an hour.
2
Mash cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and cilantro together in a large bowl. Blend thoroughly.
3
Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly grease the grate with oil.
4
Slice peppers lengthwise, but do not cut them in half. Make parallel cuts about a quarter of an inch from the stem, creating a 'T' shape. Remove seeds, if desired, using a paring knife.
5
Fill each pepper with the cream cheese mixture by spooning it in. Wrap each pepper with a slice of raw bacon. Insert one toothpick through the center of each pepper to secure it to the bacon and keep the pepper closed.
6
Grill stuffed peppers for 25 minutes. Rotate them occasionally until the bacon is crispy, taking about 15 more minutes.
