SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork sausage
- 1 sleeve crushed buttery round crackers (such as RitzĀ®)
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 slices thick-cut bacon
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to the ideal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements).
2
Next, gather all the necessary ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine them until they are fully incorporated. This includes ground beef, sliced sausage, crushed crackers, ketchup, finely chopped onion, eggs, onion powder, and garlic powder. The best way to achieve a smooth mixture is by using your hands.
3
Then, shape the combined mixture into a loaf-like shape. This will be the foundation of your meatloaf.
4
After that, take strips of bacon and weave them into a unique pattern. Place the meatloaf in the center, then carefully lift it and transfer it to a loaf pan. Ensure that the bacon strips cover the bottom and sides of the pan.
5
Once you've placed the meatloaf in the loaf pan, bake it in the preheated oven for approximately 1 and a half hours. The meatloaf is done when it's no longer pink in the center, and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit (or 74 degrees Celsius).
6
Finally, allow the meatloaf to rest for five minutes before carefully transferring it to a serving platter.
