Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon water
- cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 white onion, diced
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with the bacon and place it inside.
2
Allow the bacon to cook in the preheated oven until it reaches your desired level of crispiness, approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
3
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and water until well combined.
4
Once the bacon has cooled slightly on a stack of paper towels, roughly 5 minutes later, break it into smaller pieces.
5
Heat a 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium heat and spray it with cooking spray.
6
Melt butter in the skillet until it starts to foam, about 2 minutes later. Add sliced onions once the butter has stopped foaming and cook until they are tender but not browned, around 4 to 5 minutes.
7
Increase the heat to medium-high. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook until it's mostly set, roughly 2 minutes.
8
Use a spatula to gently lift the edges of the omelet as it cooks, allowing uncooked egg to flow towards the center. Continue cooking until the eggs are fully set, approximately 2 to 4 minutes.
9
Add the broken bacon pieces on top of the omelet and fold it in half using your spatula.
