Ingredients
- 4 pounds new potatoes, skinned, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 pound processed cheese food, cubed
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 pound bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a hot temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, boil a large quantity of water in a big pan until it's rolling. Then, carefully add the potatoes to the boiling water and let them cook for a while until they're just tender. Remove from heat, drain the excess water, and transfer them to a spacious bowl.
3
In another container, combine processed cheese with some hot water. Gently stir the mixture until the cheese is fully dissolved and smooth.
4
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, crispy bacon bits, and finely chopped onion until well blended. Slowly stir this mixture into the cheese-potato combination, ensuring everything is harmoniously combined.
5
Spread the entire mixture evenly into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
6
Finally, place the prepared dish in your preheated oven and let it bake for 50 minutes.
