Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, or as needed
- 2 cups boiling water
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1
Combine ground beef, sliced sausage, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, milk, beaten egg, chopped parsley, salt, and Worcestershire sauce in a spacious bowl. Blend the ingredients until they form a cohesive mixture. Shape into spherical forms, or 'eatballs'.
2
Heat oil in a large skillet over a moderately high heat setting. Fry the meatballs in batches, rotating them as necessary, until they acquire a rich brown color and are thoroughly cooked through, approximately 6 to 8 minutes.
3
Combine boiling water, sour cream, flour, paprika, and a pinch of pepper in a deep saucepan over low heat. Gradually whisk the mixture until it thickens and reaches the desired consistency, then add the meatballs. Allow them to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are heated through and the sauce has thickened.
