  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 4 (6 ounce) swordfish steaks

Combine soy sauce, vegetable oil, sherry, grated ginger root, and minced garlic in a medium-sized bowl. Place the contents of this bowl into a large zip-top bag and mix everything together thoroughly. Add swordfish steaks to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated, and seal the bag. Refrigerate the bag for at least 4 hours to allow the swordfish to absorb the flavors.

Heat up an outdoor grill to extremely high temperatures. Lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
