Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 pinch salt to taste
- 16 chicken wings
- 2 limes, quartered
Instructions
1
Combine minced garlic, chopped green onion, granulated sugar, five-spice powder, fish sauce, soy sauce, chili sauce, and salt in a bowl. Place the chicken pieces in a shallow, non-metallic dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken to ensure it's evenly coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
2
Next, preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), which is equivalent to medium-high heat. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.
3
Arrange the marinated chicken on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd it.
4
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven until it's crispy and golden brown, approximately 45 minutes. Serve with lime wedges on the side for a refreshing touch.
