Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 4 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles, crushed
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Heat a small skillet over medium heat and gently rock it back and forth to toast sesame seeds until they turn a lovely golden color and fill the air with their nutty aroma.

Transfer the toasted sesame seeds to a small plate and temporarily store them there.

Combine shredded cabbage, sliced carrots, and crushed ramen noodles in a large bowl to create a colorful mixture.

Mix together olive oil, sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and the contents of a ramen seasoning packet in a small bowl until everything is well incorporated.

Pour the dressing mixture over the cabbage mixture and use your hands or a spoon to coat each ingredient evenly.
