Ingredients
- 1 (12 ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 9 large eggs, beaten
- 14 saltine crackers, crumbled
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius). Remove artichoke hearts from their liquid and set aside the 3 tablespoons of juice for later use.
2
In a large skillet, heat the reserved artichoke liquid over medium heat. Add chopped green onions and cook until they have softened and wilted, taking about 2 to 3 minutes.
3
Transfer the cooked green onions to a mixing bowl and combine them with the chopped artichoke hearts, shredded Cheddar cheese, beaten eggs, crushed crackers, chopped parsley, minced garlic, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until it is well incorporated.
4
Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and place it in the preheated oven. Bake until the center is puffed up and no longer has any moisture, which should take around 40 minutes.
5
Once it's done, let the dish cool slightly before cutting it into 12 equal-sized squares.
