Sweet and Tangy Apricot-Glazed Pork Ribs
Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar apricot preserves
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • aluminum foil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Position the ribs in a spacious roasting dish. Combine apricot preserves, soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder in a bowl, stirring until they blend seamlessly; pour the mixture over the ribs, cover them, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
2
Heat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius). Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil.
3
Take the ribs out of their marinade and gently shake off any excess. Place the ribs in the prepared baking tray; sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste. Transfer the marinade to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over high heat; then reduce the heat to medium-low and let simmer for 5 minutes; set it aside to cool.
4
Bake the ribs in a preheated oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius) until they become tender and the meat can be easily pulled away from the bone, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, periodically basting them with the marinade. Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius).
