- 1/3 cup apricot preserves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Begin by submerging carrots into a pot of salted water, allowing it to reach a gentle simmer. Continue cooking until the carrots have achieved the desired level of tenderness. Remove from heat and drain the water.

Next, melt butter in a bowl and combine it with apricot preserves. Add a pinch of nutmeg, salt, orange zest, and lemon juice to the mixture, stirring until well incorporated. Add the cooked carrots to the bowl and gently toss them in the sauce to coat evenly. Finally, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top of the carrots for added flavor and texture
