Apple-Infused Omelet
Ingredients
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 large apple - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
In a medium-sized bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until they become light and airy. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar at this stage, then continue to mix until stiff peaks form.
3
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a single motion. Next, add the milk, egg yolks, and lemon juice to this mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. Gently fold in the egg whites using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.
4
Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Once melted, spread the batter evenly across the pan's surface. Arrange thinly sliced apples on top of the batter in a layer, then sprinkle with cinnamon and any remaining sugar.
5
Carefully place the skillet into your oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the apples have turned golden brown and appear glazed. Cut into wedges to serve.
