- 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries, rinsed and sorted
- 2 large Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine cranberries, diced apples, water, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon in a medium-sized cooking vessel over medium heat; initiate boiling. Gradually decrease the heat to a lower setting and continue to cook until the cranberries have burst open and the apples become tender, approximately 20 minutes.

Take the saucepan off the heat source and allow it to cool down completely. Once cooled, you can serve the mixture as is or store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to consume it.
