Ingredients
- 2 apples, or more to taste, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar, divided
- ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a 9x9-inch glass baking dish and generously apply butter to its surface. This will ensure the dish is well-coated and ready for use.
3
Then, gather together a medley of ingredients: apples, cranberries, raisins, and walnuts. Place this mixture in the prepared baking dish.
4
Following that, sprinkle a generous amount of 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon over the apple mixture. This will add flavor and depth to your dish.
5
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar, flour, butter, egg, baking powder, and salt. Use a mixing motion until the ingredients come together in a crumbly state.
6
Finally, spread this mixture evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish. Place it in the preheated oven and bake until the topping is golden brown and the inside is bubbling, approximately 50 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
