- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Heat butter in a large cooking vessel over medium warmth. Introduce carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery into the pot, then combine chicken broth and ginger. Cover the container and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables become soft and tender, approximately 30 minutes. Uncover and allow to rest for 15 minutes.

Transfer the soup in portions to a food preparation device; blend until smooth. Return the soup to the cooking vessel and combine cream, curry powder, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat until warmed through, about 10 minutes.
