Ingredients
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic pepper
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour for dusting
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • salt to taste
  • 8 sprigs parsley
  • 8 lemon wedges

Combine eggs, lemon pepper, and garlic pepper in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Mix ground almonds and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese together in a shallow dish until they are well incorporated.

Coat the tilapia fillets with flour, shaking off any excess. Dip each fillet in the egg mixture and then coat it evenly with the almond-Parmesan mixture.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the tilapia fillets in the melted butter until they are golden brown on both sides, taking about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Lower the heat to medium and sprinkle the fillets with salt, followed by the remaining 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Cover the skillet and continue cooking until the cheese is melted, approximately 5 minutes.
