- 1 (3 pound) chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 (14 ounce) jar red currant jelly
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup blanched slivered almonds
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken into the skillet and cook for approximately 10 minutes, or until it is evenly browned on all sides. Transfer the chicken to a 9x13 inch baking dish and set it aside for now.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

Put the butter back into the skillet and add jelly, mustard, almonds, sugar, juice, and cinnamon. Stir everything together constantly over medium heat until the jelly has completely dissolved. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.

Cover the dish with a lid and bake it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
