Ingredients
- 1 (3 pound) spaghetti squash
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
1
Using a sharp knife, draw a straight line along the length of the squash, dividing it in two. Place the entire squash into the microwave and cook on high for 3 to 5 minutes, which will make it softer and easier to cut. Remove the squash from the microwave and place it on a cutting board, where you can then divide it in half lengthwise using the drawn line as a guide. Set aside one half and refrigerate for later use.
2
Scoop out the pulp and seeds from the remaining squash half, disposing of them as you go. Rub a generous amount of olive oil all over the exposed flesh and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika to add flavor.
3
Heat an air fryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C). Place the squash half, skin side down, into the air fryer basket. Cook for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the squash is tender and easily pierced with a fork.
4
Transfer the cooked squash to a serving dish and use a fork to fluff it up, creating long, spaghetti-like strands.
