Air Fryer Seasoned Rotisserie Chicken
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 (4 pound) whole fryer chicken, giblets removed
Instructions
1
Preheat your air fryer to the recommended temperature, as specified by the manufacturer's guidelines.
2
Combine salt, paprika, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, black pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder in a small bowl to create the spice blend.
3
Apply 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil evenly to the surface of the chicken, followed by half of the prepared spice mixture.
4
Place the seasoned chicken in the preheated air fryer and cook for 30 minutes, taking care to remove it carefully from the device.
5
Flip the chicken over and reapply 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil, sprinkling with the remaining spice mixture.
6
Return the chicken to the air fryer and continue cooking until it reaches a safe internal temperature, indicated by an instant-read thermometer reading 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
7
Once cooked to the desired temperature, remove the chicken from the air fryer and cover it with a sheet of aluminum foil to retain heat, allowing it to rest in a warm environment for 10 minutes before carving.
