Ingredients
- 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon beef base (such as Better than BouillonĀ®)
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat the air fryer to its highest temperature setting, which is 400 degrees F (or equivalently 195 degrees C).
2
Create the beef patties by shaping the meat into four identical portions, each about 3/4 of an inch thick and roughly 4.5 inches in diameter. Ensure the patties are slightly larger than the buns, allowing for a reduction in size during cooking.
3
In a small bowl, combine the warm melted butter and beef soup base. Mix well to create a uniform blend, then brush it lightly onto both sides of the patties. Add a pinch of pepper to season, and finally place the patties into the air fryer basket.
4
As the size of your air fryer may vary, you will need to cook the patties in batches. Cook the patties for 7 minutes, flipping them halfway through to achieve medium doneness. For those who prefer their burgers well done, cook for an additional 2 minutes.
