Air Fryer Golden Brown Apple Crumble
Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold salted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • cooking spray
  • 2 1/2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples
Instructions
1
Preheat the air fryer oven to a high heat setting of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, sugar, and softened butter. Use your hands to manually mix the ingredients until they form a crumbly mixture. Add a pinch of cinnamon, baking powder, and nutmeg to the bowl and mix until well combined.
3
Prepare two 4 1/2-inch ramekins by spraying them with a non-stick cooking spray. Fill the bottom of each ramekin with some crumble topping, followed by a layer of sliced apples. Repeat this process two more times, finishing with a generous amount of crumble on top.
4
Cover the ramekins with large sheets of aluminum foil, tucking the edges underneath to prevent them from flying off during cooking. Air fry the ramekins until the apples are tender, taking between 16 to 20 minutes.
5
Remove the foil from the ramekins and continue air frying until the crumble topping is golden brown, requiring an additional 2 to 4 minutes.
