Ingredients
- 2 rib-eye steaks, cut 1 1/2- inch thick
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 teaspoons grill seasoning (such as Montreal Steak Seasoning®)
Instructions
1
Place the steaks in a large, airtight container to create a marinade mixture. Combine the steaks with soy sauce, olive oil, and any desired seasonings to form a cohesive blend. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
2
Next, remove the steaks from their marinade mixture and discard any excess liquid. Using a paper towel, gently pat the steaks dry to remove any excess oil.
3
To prevent smoke during cooking, add a small amount of water - approximately 1 tablespoon - to the bottom of the air fryer pan. This will help maintain a clean and smoke-free environment.
4
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). This will ensure optimal cooking conditions for the steaks.
5
Cook the steaks in the preheated air fryer for 7 minutes, followed by a flip. Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes to achieve medium-rare doneness. For a medium-cooked steak, cook for an additional 1 minute per side.
6
Finally, allow the steaks to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
