Heat a substantial container of salted water to its boiling point; introduce pasta and cook, stirring periodically, until it reaches a perfect balance of tenderness and firmness in the center, approximately 8 minutes. Reserve, but do not wash or rinse it. Allow it to rest for 2 minutes.
