Air Fryer Crispy Breaded Shrimp
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 12 ounces large shrimp - peeled, deveined, and tails left on
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
1
First, preheat the air fryer to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius.
2
To create the seasoning mixture, place a generous amount of flour, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, chopped parsley, and black pepper in a large zip-top bag.
3
Next, combine the ingredients by sealing the bag and giving it a vigorous shake to ensure everything is well mixed.
4
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs until they're beaten and smooth.
5
To prepare the shrimp for cooking, gently pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
6
Working in batches, add the shrimp to the seasoned flour mixture and toss them around until they're evenly coated.
7
Dip each shrimp in the beaten eggs, making sure to coat them thoroughly, and then roll them back into the seasoned flour mixture.
8
Place the breaded shrimp in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece to allow for even cooking.
9
Before cooking, lightly spray the tops of the shrimp with a non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
10
Cook the shrimp in the preheated air fryer for 4 minutes, or until they're cooked through and lightly browned.
11
After 4 minutes of cooking, remove the lid from the air fryer and spray any areas that have developed a chalky residue with non-stick cooking spray.
12
Continue cooking the shrimp for an additional 3 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
