Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- salt to taste
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 3/4 pound chicken breast cutlets
- avocado oil cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
Instructions
1
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, as directed by the manufacturer's guidelines.
2
In a small bowl or shallow casserole dish, whisk together an egg and a pinch of salt until the mixture is smooth.
3
On a separate plate, place a layer of panko bread crumbs. This will be used to coat the cutlets.
4
Using your fingers or a spoon, gently dip each cutlet into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to fall back into the bowl. Make sure both sides of the cutlet are fully coated with the egg mixture.
5
Place a single layer of breaded cutlets on a sheet of parchment paper, leaving some space between each piece.
6
Using a cooking spray, lightly mist both sides of the breaded cutlets. Then, carefully place them in the air fryer basket.
7
Cook the cutlets in the air fryer for 5 minutes, then flip them over and continue cooking for an additional 4 minutes.
8
Once the cutlets are cooked, serve them with your favorite barbecue sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.
